Allow me to introduce myself. I am a mother, a wife, a boss lady and a Texas girl. I am always looking for things that bring genuine enjoyment in life. Saturday is my favorite day of the week. I love Saturday mornings in bed, curled up with a cup of coffee. My Saturday is usually spent with some of the most fun, genuine people I know.
As much as I would love to stay a Saturday Sweetheart, I have a full-time job raising two strong-minded daughters and being the wife of a local politician. My heart (and my plate) is full! We live on a ranch full of animals surrounded by great neighbors in our one-stop-light town. I love supporting small business and local living.
You may have noticed my love for clean, country living. I love using essential oils in my daily life. Have you heard of Neal’s Yard Remedies? (I LOVE their products!) Check that out. Their brand has really improved our lives. (You really need to check into that.) Cooking is not my thing. I am no chef. Asking me for my favorite recipes will leave you a little empty-handed! I hate chemicals and processed food. If you share that passion, I can help you with that.
Starting this blog was a crazy idea I had. I wanted something for myself. Women rarely have that opportunity. (Can I get an Amen?!?!) Writing has introduced me to people I would have never met before. {Side note: If you have something crazy you have daydreamed about–do it. Need a word of encouragement? Let me know! I love helping people succeed. ♥ } Everything I write about is tried and true. I will not pitch you an idea just to make a dime from you.
My Favorite Things is a cool list you should check out from time to time. I review items I love and that you may love, too. You will notice some of the products are from direct sales companies. In a small town, you will see this a lot. I love direct sales and I love supporting my friends. If you have something you think I should try, let me know! I am happy to spread the word! I am just a regular, unrefined, country girl. I drink my wine from a mason jar and I own more boots than heels. Willie and Waylon are on my playlist, and I love watching sunsets on any given day. I love life and encourage you to love your life, too. After all, you only get one. Have you heard rain on a tin roof lately? No?! You need to find time to do that. Seriously.
