I read that some of the biggest challenges in life are brought on by one simple action- deciding not to make a decision.
There are plenty of days when I am running late to a meeting or don’t show up dressed up because I choose to play the “I have nothing to wear” game.
What’s worse is waking up in a mood that’s not ideal for dressing a part, much less bringing a good mood.
Tell me I am not alone.
Something as simple as choosing your outfit with intention the night before will play a big part in your tomorrow.

Why Does This Work?
Given all the options in our closets that will and will not work for the day, we tend to stand there panicking about not only our wardrobe but everything else we have to do.
Here’s the fun part- when you choose your outfit from your current state (which is probably a little more chill than you will be tomorrow) you can pick your intention for the outfit.
Choosing your intention will help you to feel that feeling ahead of time.
Big meeting? Bring your confidence.
Lunch date with your beau? Pick a sexy outfit.
PTA meeting? Pick a comfortable color.
Working from home? Pretend you’re going out to work.
All of these options make you decide how you want to feel tomorrow. That way, you can already move into that intention the night before.
It’s a midset shift pregame.
Once you know your outfit, life becomes much easier. Plan out your hair and makeup, and swing by for coffee with a friend. You’ll be on your way to a positive attitude, which will have the most significant bearing on the day.
So, try this little shift. Get excited about your outfits. Have fun the night before for a better tomorrow.
Feeling bored with your wardrobe? This is my go-to pick-me-up place to find new inspiration.
Cheers.
